Flushing
No photos of the wedding party I attended yesterday, but I went to Flushing, Queens for the first time (technically my 3rd) and actually got to walk around a few stores. This one building.. I can't remember the name of the building, but there is a Korean-Japanese restaurant, a Sbarro, Bali BBQ, a Paris Baguette being constructed, and a tea room called Rose House. I wish I could've stayed longer to actually EAT at Rose House. I'll find some time to go back there. There were WALLS filled with teacups and boxes of tea leaves and as far as I could tell, it looked expensive. Has anyone been here who can give a decent review besides this? I would also like to know the actual address of Queens Crossing so I can search it on hotstop... or even better, actual directions from subway station to Rose House.

Hi there! Found your post when I googled "Rose House". I just took my Mom here tonight for her bday. My review would be exactly like what the Yelper's said. There's a bit of a pretentious air about the place. My mom really wanted to take pictures of one of the back rooms (there were these over-the-top velvet chairs with a big rose on them). One of the waitresses ran over to us and said we couldn't take pictures. I guess it doesn't jive well with their classy atmosphere. The items are pricey, bt that is to be expected of a tea house. The tea was probably the only good thing worth getting on the menu. They have small snack -- my husband got the pink-rose-shaped cookies, but it seems they were just butter cookies with pink dye. Got the "Ambassador Fruit Tea", which was a green tea with fruit steeped in it...much like a fruit sangria but with tea. What you pay for is ambience, which my mom really appreciated (she felt special). It's a nice place to take a mom/grandma/aunt/daughter. This isn't the type of place to take kids, unless they are very well-behaved and into tea-time and tea-parties. Sorry for the long comment! HTH!
